Remove Root and Lock Bootloader?

Hi, I have my Robin rooted and bootloader unlocked but feel that getting updates OTA is a hassle because I have to unroot every time or other inconveniences. I also realized I don't even use root features. What's the best way to reset things to the way they were before?

Hey @Cake

I recommend flashing the factory images (backup first though)

I do not work for Nextbit; I am an expert on the product though. PM if needed.

Also, you can just run lock fastboot command ---> fastboot oem lock

Re: Remove Root and Lock Bootloader?

Fastboot isn't registering my device. It keeps waiting.

Any ideas?

Try fastboot -i 0x2c3f getvar all. If it works and gives you your serial, then the fasboot oem lock command should work. I would not suggest relocking the bootloader because if something goes wrong you won't be able to flash the factory images again.

Is your phone on fast boot. Hold power + volume down. Fast boot commands won't recognise your phone if it's it's booted up. Has to be in fast boot for the OEM lock to register.

Couldn't he just run OEM unlock command again in adb?
