They did replace my cable. And they were super prompt about it. After they asked me a few questions regarding the exact issue I was facing, they then asked for a copy of my invoice and some more details. They then couriered a new cable to me via FedEx.
I later faced some issues with FedEx because the cable was stuck at Indian customs for a few days but I only got to know once I checked the tracking link. I then had to send FedEx some KYC documents before Indian customs could release it
