@david

Wanted to add some more info here.

To have the device connect to the computer you have to set it to USB debugging and also go to Developer Options>Networking>Select USB Configuration and set it to "Charging Only"

To confirm it is connected, one should open up command prompt and type in "adb devices" and also check the always allow checkbox on the device which one should see if it is connected correctly.

I do not work for Nextbit; I am an expert on the product though. PM if needed.

Re: Rooting Tool (Easy)

Glad to see this tool is released! Just a quick question; since I already have SU and Recovery, however I'm unable to use recovery 'nicely' (i.e. I have to use cache, or sideload to load in apps and can't backup/install/etc from TWRP), will I need to wipe again?

Re: Rooting Tool (Easy)

@PhlexPlexico I'm not sure if you'll be able to do that. Robin is encrypted when you boot it the first time, so you will have to use cache or sideload zips. About backups... Let me see and will come back to you!

Re: Rooting Tool (Easy)

Sounds good, thanks! Because I really want to flash Xposed but I'm already seeing an issue of not being able to wipe cache and dalvik from TWRP...

Re: Rooting Tool (Easy)

You can't wipe? Smiley Sad also take a look into that.
About the backup, you can't backup the /data/ partition, as it's encrypted as you said. For that, I recommend you to use Titanium Backup to backup all your data.

@Loopsyded my mac root tool has been tested personally. Here it is.

APP MUST BE PLACED ON DESKTOP ONCE EXTRACTED! MUST NOT HAVE THE NAME CHANGED!

*disclaimer: I will not be responsible for anything. Also, you will no longer be able to update via OTA. Good luck.*
