whatever the case may be, once you have yours, you can get it right then, thanks for the effort.

Re: Rooting Tool (Easy)

Yeah, I have to take into it. Sorry I can't do much more about this. I'll have my Robin here in 1 or 2 weeks. Thanks for waiting

I decided to give this tool a try and I'm having the same problem as Colin is. TWRP boots up, but the bat says device '(null)' not found and I'm sitting at a screen saying 'Mount Decrypt Data' asking for a password. I don't think the device is unlocked, because every time I've tried unlocking it with Fastboot oem unlock I just sit there waiting for something to happen. It gets to the fastboot page, but it doesn't actually unlock and fastboot devices doesn't show it.

ETA: Actually, I think I finally got my phone unlocked and rooted. Yay.

I am rooted, TWRPed, and running the Cyanogen ROM.... It took me about 30 minutes on a brand new Robin phone from scratch. I will say it took a lot of trial and error to get to this point, but now I am happy to have been able to make it this far. Robin has been a great learning experience.

ROOTING THE PHONE....
loading: 'beta-supersu....zip"
error: device '<null>' not found
-----------------------------------------
error: device '<null>' not found
FINISHED!

Did I do something wrong?

Another thing that I get is when I turn my phone off

"Nextbit OS can't be checked for tempering"

Re: Rooting Tool (Easy)

Hey, sorry I couldn't give you an answer before,

If you wanna root the phone right now, try doing it manually (flash twrp recovery and theninstall the supersu zip), now I'm OOO and can't try to solve your problem fast (in a week or so, if you still have this problem, contact me via PM and we'll try to solve it). Also, you can try with this one: http://community.nextbit.com/t5/Tools/bd-p/Tools (still in dev)

About the OS screen, that will always appear when you boot your Robin, as you have OEM unlocked it.

Re: Rooting Tool (Easy)

Hi,

I tried the tool on Windows, but it stops with this:

ROOTING THE PHONE...
command is: 'sideload' and there is no value
loading: 'BETA-SuperSU-v2.68-20160228150503.zip'
error: device '(null)' not found
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
error: device '(null)' not found
FINISHED! Thanks for using this tool! Give kudos if it was useful! =D

What should I do to be able to root my phone?

Re: Rooting Tool (Easy)

As said many times, this tool is not working and maybe I'll work to get it working in the future. Until then, I recommend flashing and rooting manually.
