Frankly, I think the stock launcher is awful. Don't get me wrong, I don't hate it on the basis of not having an app drawer. I own MIUI devices and I love the stock launcher. But Nextbit Home is just filled with odd design choices. Having one slot in the grid on every home screen taken up by a pseudo FAB that opens a bunch of app lists is counter intuitive. If a button exists in a permanent position like that, why not just have an app drawer. You could add multiple tabs for the pinned and archived apps sections and retain all the functionality, and move the launcher to a more standard behavior. The other main issue is the total lack of features. Zero customization, restrictive widget support, and generally just bland. My wishlist is this:
#1. Replace app list FAB with a tri pane app drawer #2 improve widget integration and allow for better home screen customization #3 add launcher settings and customization #4 when available, add the google search services API for a google home screen ala GNL or Xperia Launcher or Pixel Launcher.
