This would be amazing if *wink wink* canonical got on board with ubuntu touch! I know someone was working on multirom a while back but I haven't heard much about it lately.

I have done it on other phones in the past using an app called BootManager but from what I remember (haven't done it in a while) it only worked if the alternate ROM's were stored on an SD card and you had to root the phone as well as have Xposed installed. It was really more of a way to try out new ROM's than anything. I have done an actual dualboot on an old Nexus 4 I had lying around with Ubuntu and Android. It was fairly easy if you have some experience with Ubuntu and there are tutorials available but it works on very few phones.
